HOUSTON – You’ll be able to dress up and wear your coat and accessorize on New Year’s Eve because it will be chilly, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Tuesday will be a little sunnier with early-morning temperatures in the mid-30s and daytime highs in the mid-50s. Around midnight, expect for temps to remain in the low-40s.
"We stay chilly going into the first part of 2014," Paul said.
On New Year’s Day the clouds return along with a 30-percent chance for rain. The rain carries over into Thursday before clearing out.
Overnight temperatures will remain cold through the weekend, but in our daytime hours Saturday and Sunday we’ll be in the mid-60s.
