HOUSTON—Twelve people were rushed to area hospitals after an attack on the campus of Lone Star College Cy-Fair. A witness said the suspect was running down the hallway and randomly stabbing students. KHOU 11 News reporter Jeremy Desel talks to a mother who was anxiously waiting for her daughter to be released from the campus.

Jeremy Desel:
You’re a mom, and you’re kind of anxious, it sounds.
Mom:
Yes, I am very anxious to find out what’s going on and to find out if my daughter’s class has actually been released.
Jeremy Desel:
But you’re able to atleast be in contact with her?
Mom:
Yes, she’s actually been texting me back and forth, but she’s not answering the phone or she’s not calling. She’s just texting.
Jeremy Desel:
What goes through your mind when you’re standing here kind of helpless?
Mom:
Basically, I am just frantic. I’m scared out of my mind. I know that she’s OK, but she’s just scared, so it just worries me that she’s scared.
Jeremy Desel:
How can you comfort her through a text message?
Mom:
Just by letting her know that I am here and everything is going to be OK. It’s actually frustrating that something like this is happening again, but I’m quite sure that they have it all under control, but I thought by now since the other incident that something like this wouldn’t even happen.
