HOUSTON –- Early Monday our cool temperatures will turn into a warm afternoon under cloudy skies as we get closer to a big chance for rain, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Our temperatures overnight dipped into the mid-50s. This afternoon we’ll top out near 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Tuesday will also be warm, but later in the day a cool front will approach the Houston area.
“Weather changes are down the road,” said Gomez. “This is not going to be severe weather. This is going to be very mild-like rain. You’re going to sleep right through it because it’s going to come in around midnight Tuesday going into Wednesday morning.”
There’s a 40-percent chance for rain on Tuesday.
There’s a 30-percent chance for rain on Wednesday with cooler daytime highs of around 67 degrees.
The clouds and a slight chance for rain linger for the rest of the week into the weekend, when our daytime highs will creep back in the low-80s.
