HOUSTON—It is going to be a warm, sticky weekend, but the weather will be fine for any Father’s Day activities you have planned, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said.
Friday kicked off with lows in the mid-70s and highs are expected to top off in the lower-90s. The heat index will make it feel between 101 and 103 degrees outside.
There is a 20-percent chance we may see some isolated rain and thunder today. In fact, chances for rain will remain in the forecast straight into our next work week.
“We bump rain chances up to 30 percent on Saturday. There will be a little more moisture available for scattered thundershowers I think on the coast Saturday morning, then moving inland on the sea breeze that afternoon,” said Paul.
Rain chances will make a few more blips and dips as they waiver between 20 and 30 percent through the middle of next week.
Out in the Tropics, there is nothing in the Gulf at this moment but on the Pacific side, Tropical Storm Carlotta is on the verge of becoming a hurricane. It is forecast to hug the coast of Mexico near Acapulco over the weekend.
