HOUSTON – An incoming cold front is expected to drop temperatures around the Houston area on Sunday.
11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said temperatures will drop to about 40 degrees in the morning and would heat up to around 56 degrees by the afternoon.
Gomez said the expected low humidity and windy conditions on Sunday has put into effect a red flag warning, meaning there’s an increased chance of starting a fire.
"All it takes is a spark to get a fire going considering the winds," he said.
By the end of Monday night, the Houston area could see some frost as temperatures are expected to drop into the 30s.
