HOUSTON -- Some of the areas north of Houston could see severe thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall Sunday afternoon.
Gusty winds and large hail are possible in the northern areas around Huntsville, Conroe and Cleveland.
The forecast calls for only 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch of rain for our northern counties. Areas in the southern counties to the coast will see less rain.
By 5 p.m., the storms will move out of the area and off shore.
Rain returns to southeast Texas on Monday and Tuesday.
Sunshine returns on Wednesday and will last through the end of the work week.
