HOUSTON -- Looking ahead to the weekend, we could have some street flooding issues on Saturday because of the threat of rain coming into our area, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. The rain will begin as early as Thursday afternoon.
Overnight and into Thursday morning, temps will be in the 60s. Our rain chances increase as the day goes on. Thundershowers will begin to pop up around 5 p.m. Thursday. The storms should settle down once the sun goes down.
As we go into Friday evening, another round of storms will move in. There’s a greater chance for thunderstorms in our northern and northwestern counties beginning around 7 p.m.
By Saturday morning, the next cluster of storms will hover over the Houston area. These will be the heaviest bunch and will last for the majority of the day.
There’s a 20 percent chance for showers on Sunday. The rain finally moves out on Monday.
