HOUSTON -- Sunday will be the wettest day this weekend, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Overnight lows will be in the upper 50’s in the Houston area.

You’ll wake up Saturday morning to a mix of clouds and sun. For the rest of the day, it will be mostly cloudy and drizzle is likely. The afternoon high is 76 degrees and there’s a 20-percent chance for rain.

We’ll have rain showers for the majority of the day on Sunday. The temperature will drop quickly in the late afternoon from 70 degrees down to the 50’s. Our rain chances increase as we go from the late afternoon into the early evening.

The cold air that comes in on Sunday will stay for the start of the work week. The high temp for Monday is only 58 degrees.
