HOUSTON – Our early morning hours were cloudy with a few sprinkles, and our afternoon is expected to be warm and muggy, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

Overnight lows only dipped into the low-60’s.

There’s a 20-percent chance for rain throughout the day on Friday, so expect mostly cloudy skies and a light shower or two.

“You’re going to notice a big change in our temperatures,” said Johnson. “We are five to ten degrees warmer than we were yesterday.”

By 3 p.m. the temperature should reach about 80 degrees.

Looking to the weekend, there’s a slight chance for showers on Saturday with a high temp of 82 degrees under partly sunny skies. On Sunday, there’s a 40-percent chance of scattered showers.

Our 80 degree temperatures will continue through the next work week. With those warm temperatures come chances for rain each day.
