HOUSTON –- Some parts of southeast Texas were getting scattered showers early Tuesday, but the biggest chance for rain will come in the afternoon and evening hours, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There’s a 50-percent chance for rain today and a forecast high temperature of 77 degrees.
“The Storm Prediction Center issued their outlook for the possibility of severe weather, and any chance for severe weather is far west of us,” said Johnson. “We’ll likely just see scattered thunderstorms and rain later today.”
The chance for thunderstorms will carry over into Wednesday morning when there’s a 70-percent chance for rain. The temperatures will start to fall tomorrow with an afternoon high in the mid-70s.
On Thursday the rain chance drops to 20 percent. The afternoon temps will be nice and cool in the mid-60s.
By Friday the sun will return as our temperatures jump back into the 70s, leaving us with a warm but pleasant weekend.
