HOUSTON -- A beautiful stretch of weather is on the way, said KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Overnight, it won’t be as cold as it was Wednesday night when lows were in the 20’s. Most areas will stay above freezing because the dew point is at 37.

Areas north of Houston will have a clear and cold night with temps just above freezing.

The areas from Houston to the coast will be well above freezing and in the mid-30’s. It’ll still be cold at the bus stop Friday morning, so be sure to bundled up the kids.

The weekend forecast looks great! Lows will be in the 40’s and highs will be in the 60’s.

The sunshine continues into next week. The next chance of rain is Thursday.
