HOUSTON -- Some parts of southeast Texas will receive up to two inches of rain through Wednesday afternoon as thunderstorms move through, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
The greatest chance for severe weather is west of the Houston area, but everyone should keep their umbrellas handy Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Coupled with these thunderstorms that will move in this afternoon and evening could be hail and some strong wind,” said Johnson. “I am still expecting one to two inches of rain by tomorrow. Those showers should start to move out by Wednesday evening.”
There’s a 50-percent chance for rain Tuesday with a forecast high of 77 degrees.
On Wednesday the chance for rain jumps to 70 percent with daytime temps in the mid-70s.
Thursday the sky starts to clear out, and our afternoon temps drop to a cool 65 degrees.
By Friday our daytime hours will be sunny and pleasant through the weekend.
