HOUSTON — Much of southeast Texas woke up to fog on what will turn out to be a warm and sunny Wednesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
A dense fog advisory was put into effect until 9 a.m. Dense fog was reported along I-45 North as of 6 a.m. Temperatures across Houston were in the upper-40s.
“Thankfully we’ll have some spring-like temperatures later this morning to burn off the fog,” said Gomez.
We’ll see mostly sunny skies Wednesday afternoon as temps top out in the low-70s.
It’ll be slightly warmer on Thursday, reaching the mid-70s under sunny skies. There’s a 20-percent chance for rain Thursday through the weekend as temps drop back into the low-70s.
The forecast shows our next big chance for rain comes Monday and Tuesday with a chance between 30 and 40 percent.
