HOUSTON -- We’re expecting some record low temperatures in some neighborhoods overnight, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
When you wake up Friday morning in our northern counties, temperatures will be in the low 40s. Some areas, especially near Conroe and Huntsville, could dip down into the upper 30s.
In the areas from Houston to the coast, lows Friday morning will be in the mid-40s. Houston will set a record if the temperature drops below 47 degrees. That record was set back in 1978.
A Wind Advisory stays in effect in southeast Texas until 4 a.m. Friday. Winds could gust up to 40 mph.
After a cold start Friday morning, temps will reach 58 degrees by noon and the mid-60s in the late afternoon.
Looking ahead to the weekend, lows Saturday morning will be in the low 40s. High temps Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid-70s with plenty of sunshine. You’ll wake up to temps in the 50s Sunday morning.
A warming trend begins Monday with temps near 80 degrees. Temperatures should reach the mid-80s by the middle of next week.
