HOUSTON -- Temperatures made it into the low 60’s on Thursday.

For those of you who are enjoying the sun, it’ll be around for the next six days. The next decent chance for rain is next Thursday, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Temps for the extended forecast call for sunny skies and temps in the 60’s.

Overnight into Friday morning, there will be a light freeze in most areas. Overnight lows will hover around 32.

On Friday, high temps will be near 60. There will also be a northeast wind between 5-10 mph.

Drought conditions in our area have improved because of all of the rain we received last week. Most of the area saw an upgrade from dry to moderate drought.
