HOUSTON -- The rain tapered off Wednesday evening, but temps will remain low and hover near freezing overnight, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.
Overnight, expect a light freeze to the areas north of Houston, and temps to be just above freezing on the south side.
Thursday will be cloudy and chilly again, with a high of 52. There’s a slight chance that we’ll see a sun peek out from the clouds. There’s also a 10 percent chance of rain.
The chances for sleet have gone up to 40 percent on Friday. From midnight until 7:00 a.m. Friday, there’s a strong chance rain will mix with sleet. If that happens, bridges and overpasses could ice over.
If you’re missing the sun, it’ll be back Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
