HOUSTON -- We hope you enjoyed the sun on Friday because we probably won’t see it again for seven days, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Much of the area saw temps in the 70’s during the day. The normal high for today is 63, so in some cases, we were 10 degrees above normal.
A few rain drops are possible in the Houston area Friday night. Temps will drop to the 60’s and it’ll be cloudy.
On Saturday, expect rainy and mild conditions with temps in the mid-70’s. There’s a 30 percent chance of rain.
It’ll be cold and rainy on Sunday. There will be a north wind of 15-20 mph and a 60 percent chance of rain.
A cold front moving our way will arrive early Sunday morning. The threat for lightning and thunder is before sunrise, so it shouldn’t interrupt the Houston Marathon. However, runners should prepare for rain and plummeting temperatures that will start in the 50’s and end in the 40’s by midday.
The forecast for Monday through Thursday is calling for lows in the 30’s and highs in the 50’s.
