HOUSTON -- Friday will be gorgeous after a cold start, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. We will be warming as we head into the weekend.

Overnight lows will be in the 40’s across southeast Texas.

You’ll wake up Friday morning with temps in the low 40’s. The temperature will increase to the low 60’s by noon and it’ll eventually reach the low 70’s later in the day. The average temperature for this time of year is 76 degrees, so we’ll be just a few degrees below normal.

Temps will near 80 degrees on Saturday and Sunday with mostly sunny skies.

Our next chance for rain and thunder comes Wednesday along with potential for another round of severe storms.
