HOUSTON -- We’re in for a cold weekend, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. Temps on Saturday will be 10 degrees colder than the day before.
The winds are picking up out of the north Friday evening, and those winds will bring our cold weekend air.
Overnight, temps will be in the 30’s.
Saturday morning will begin with temperatures in the mid-30’s. During the day, the high for Texas Independence Day is 55 degrees.
Cover your plants before you go to bed Saturday night. Some of the northwest counties could see a freeze and some spots will dip into the upper 20’s Sunday morning.
It’ll stay chill on Sunday with a high of 63 degrees.
Temps will finally rebound on Monday with highs in the mid-70’s.
