HOUSTON -- Wednesday morning and Thanksgiving morning will be very chilly now that the skies are clearing out, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Southeast Texas is finally getting a break from the cold rain, and the skies will be mostly clear through the weekend.
“On our satellite and radar picture, we’re seeing big changes when compared to yesterday,” said Johnson. “The clouds, rain, and snow cleared out to our east. If you’re traveling Wednesday across the state of Texas, you’re going to be in the clear.”
We’ll top out around 49 degrees this afternoon.
Thanksgiving morning will be even colder than Wednesday – around 29 degrees.
Things warm up slightly this weekend with daytime temps in the mid- to upper-60s and early-morning temperatures in the 40s.
A slight chance for rain returns early next week as daytime temps hit the 70s.
