HOUSTON — After an unusually cold start to May, temperatures are finally starting to warm as we get closer to summertime weather, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner said.
Highs will peak at about 84 degrees Monday afternoon with partly cloudy skies. The skies are looking nice and clear for now, but we may see some rain return to the forecast as the week progresses.
There is a 40 percent chance of rain on Wednesday morning, but it will not be like the heavy rains the Houston has experienced in a weekly basis the last several weeks. Some of the showers may carry over into Thursday with a 20 percent chance of rain.
After that, conditions will be a bit muggy as highs for the rest of the week as we begin to approach the 90-degree mark.
