HOUSTON — The Houston area will get a small break from the fall weather this weekend as temps climb back up into the 80s, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

Temps will start off in the low-60s Saturday morning for the Heart & Stroke Walk at Reliant Park. You may need an extra layer for to start the day, but should be able to shed it by the late morning.

There is a slight chance for stray showers this afternoon, but nothing significant.

Temps will be pretty nice as they warm up to 78 degrees for the 6 p.m. start of the Rice Owls Homecoming game against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. By the fourth quarter, temps will be really comfortable at 74 degrees.

Overnight temps on Saturday will drop down to the low-60s before warming up to the mid-80s Sunday afternoon.

Temps will be in the mid-70s for the noon start of the Houston Texans game against the Oakland Raiders at Reliant Stadium.

It's going to be unseasonably warm for tailgating in the parking lot.

By Tuesday the clouds will start to move out, and our daytime temperatures will drop back into the 60s.
