HOUSTON – Chilly weather returned to Houston early Monday morning, but even colder temperatures are on the way, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Temperatures will only top out in the mid-50s on Monday.
"We had several showers and thunderstorms move through overnight," said Johnson. "Tomorrow morning, once the clouds break apart, that's when we're going to see near freezing temperatures."
Areas north of Houston early Tuesday will be below freezing while closer to town we can expect an overnight low of 34 degrees.
Our next chance for rain comes Friday and Saturday as temperatures warm back up into the low-70s.
