HOUSTON –- Tropical moisture off the Gulf will continue to move inland, bringing scattered rain to southeast Texas throughout the day Thursday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
In the early morning hours, only a few showers were spotted down in Brazoria and Galveston Counties.
“For our lunchtime hour, we are expecting a few more showers heading into the afternoon,” said Johnson. “Even through the weekend we are going to continue to see some of this tropical moisture move inland.”
There’s a 40-percent chance for rain today with a forecast high of 93 degrees.
The skies stay partly cloudy and the chance for rain continues through early next week, so keep that umbrella handy.
Daytime temperatures will stay in the low- to mid-90s for the next seven days.
