HOUSTON – While a line of storms from Sunday’s cold front have cleared the Houston area, more rain is on the way for Monday, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
There may be some light rain this evening, but nothing like we saw Sunday morning. Temperatures hovered in the mid-60s for most of the area Sunday afternoon and should drop down to the mid-50s overnight.
Come Monday morning, another wave of storms will hit the area just before 10 a.m. and again in the afternoon for the commute home at 4 p.m. Expect a 40 percent chance of rain Monday and a 50 percent chance rain on Tuesday.
The area could see as much a quarter of an inch of rainfall by the end of Monday with highs in the upper-60s.
