HOUSTON – The Houston area can expect to see afternoon showers through the middle part of the work week, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Showers are likely to form again in the Galveston Bay area before making their way inland in the afternoon. There is a 30 percent chance of rain on Monday.
The showers will then dissipate in the evening much like the same pattern we saw over the weekend.
Chance for rain will continue through Thursday.
Expect to see highs in the low 90s and lows in the mid-70s for the first half of the week except in those areas actively receiving rain.
Come next weekend we could begin to see some real summer heat with highs reaching the mid-90s.
