HOUSTON – The hot and humid weather will continue Memorial Day as many take time to remember those who have given their lives in service to our county.

KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said that Monday will be a little breezier than Sunday. Overnight temperatures will dip down in the low-70s again. Highs will peak at about 90 degrees, but the humidity will make it feel warmer than that.

For those heading out the Galveston island, the temperatures will hover in the low- to mid-80s at the beach.

Don’t forget the sunscreen as the UV index is expected to peak by Memorial Day.
