HOUSTON -- Small hail was reported southwest of Houston early Thursday as storms and rain approached, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Scattered rain started moving into Austin, Fort Bend, and Wharton Counties from the southwest around 6 a.m. By 8:30 a.m. a thunderstorm was in southwest Houston and moving northeast through downtown.
There's a 30-percent chance for rain for the rest of the day, so keep the umbrella handy. We'll top out in the low-70s. this afternoon.
On Friday our daytime highs will increase into the mid-70s.
Starting Saturday our temperatures will be much warmer -- increasing into the low-80s in the afternoon with overnight temps in the mid-60s.
On Easter there's a 30-percent chance for rain. The rain chance carries over into Monday before clearing out for next week.
Daytime temps next week stay in the low-80s.
