HOUSTON – Mardi Gras weekend looks to be a rainy one as a front is expected bring plenty of rain to the area on Sunday, KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.
For now, Friday night is expected to be a clear, cool evening with temperatures in the 60s. Cloud coverage will slowly thicken on Saturday and some showers could develop in the evening at about 7 p.m.
Come Sunday, the front will make its way through the Houston area at about lunchtime with a 50 percent chance of rain putting a bit of a damper on the Mardi Gras festivities.
