LEAGUE CITY, Texas — The founder and pastor of a defunct Texas City church has been charged with violating a protective order.

Robert Kenneth “Bobby” Gass, 60, of Tiki Island, was arrested Friday in League City. He was in the League City jail on $1,500 bond. It was his third arrest since November.

Gass was senior pastor and founder of Baypoint Community Church, 2801 Palmer Highway, in Texas City. Attendance at the church fell after his initial arrest, despite his claims that he did not act violently toward women and that the cocaine did not belong to him.
