Houston forecast: Windy, chilly evening

HOUSTON -- The strong wind gusts were causing problems for firefighters on Monday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez. A red flag warning was in effect across of southeast Houston until 6 p.m.

The temperature briefly reached 60 degrees Monday afternoon. Overnight lows in the Houston area will be in the mid to upper 30’s.

Beginning Tuesday, the afternoon high temps will be in the 70’s and those mild conditions will last through the end of the week. Expect sunny skies and no rain chances through Sunday afternoon.
