HOUSTON—Get ready for another hot day, Houston, because Wednesday is going to crack the 90s again, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said. And what’s worse, Tropical Storm Bud may not bring us the rain relief we were hoping for this weekend.

Often times we’ll see moisture from these Pacific storms come across Mexico into Texas and increase our rain chance, but at the moment, it doesn’t look like Bud is going to be able to do a whole lot for us. A ridge may shove everything back to the west, keeping the moisture from getting into Houston.
So as far as our local weather goes, Wednesday kicked off with lows in the lower-70s and highs will top off at a hot, humid –yet breezy – 91 degrees.
The extended forecast shows the weather pattern will remain pretty much the same right through the weekend, so remember to use your hot-weather smarts and drink plenty of water.
There is, however, a 20-percent chance we’ll get a few scattered showers Monday for Memorial Day.
