HOUSTON – An electrical short has left Terminal B at George Bush Intercontinental Airport without power Sunday, according to the Houston Fire Department.
Fire officials said that firefighters responded to the scene after smoke was found in the terminal. When they arrived, they found no visible fire, just smoke. No injuries were reported.
A malfunctioning transformer vault was said to be the source of the electrical short, fire official said.
Airport officials said the electrical issues are affecting the ticketing lobby, upper U ramp for drop-offs, baggage claim and underground interterminal train.
