HOUSTON—Arson investigators are trying to determine what sparked a fire at an abandoned building in northeast Houston Thursday night.

Firefighters arrived find the building on Lockwood at Salina heavily involved in fire around 8 p.m.

Huge flames were already shooting from the structure and firefighters immediately went on the defensive because the roof was already collapsing.

The building had been vacant for many years. No one was injured.
