SPRING, Texas -- Parents received their first official communication from Spring I.S.D. just after 10 a.m. Wednesday following a fatal fight and stabbing at Spring High School.
The district said one student was dead and three others were injured.
The fight was reported shortly after 7 a.m.
One parent told KHOU 11 News she saw a student's body in a hallway, but other students said the fight started in the cafeteria.
Message from the school:
“Based on preliminary reports, a fight occurred this morning in the cafeteria. There was a fatality. Three students have been transported to the hospital for injuries. All other students are safe in their classrooms and will remain there while the investigation continues. Students will be released as soon as we have been given permission from the investigating authorities. We will call you again as soon as we have more details.”
