HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said a homeowner in his thirties was sent to the hospital after being shot during an attempted home invasion.
The incident happened before sunrise Monday in the 8400 block of Garvin Avenue in northwest Harris County.
The man told deputies he woke up to someone trying to break into his house. The suspect or suspects couldn’t get in, and several shots were fired into the home. The shooter then fled the scene before deputies arrived.
The injured resident was sent to the hospital by Life Flight where he was expected to go into surgery. He was listed in critical condition.
Authorities said marijuana and a large amount of cash was found in the residence.
