PASADENA, Texas – Heavy rains caused flooding in several parts of the Houston area on Saturday. In Pasadena, police investigated a pickup truck found submerged in water in a bayou.

Police said the truck got stuck in the mud by the bayou near Genoa Red Bluff and Red Bluff. It then got submerged as the water rose due to rain.

According to police, a witness saw the truck parked in the same spot on the bank of the bayou around 6:30 a.m. and no one was inside.

Authorities broke out some of the windows and anchored the truck to prevent it from being swept away by the current.

A wrecker crew arrived to the scene and was able to eventually pull the truck out around 12 p.m.

No injuries have been reported.
