HOUSTON -– Officers responded to a late night carjacking in Independence Heights and were able to take five people into custody, according to the Houston Police Department. It was around 11 p.m. Thursday when five men allegedly approached another man in a sport utility vehicle outside the Sunmart corner store on Yale Street at Delz Street in north Houston.
