HARRIS COUNTY, Texas—A lengthy chase on Beltway 8 exceeded speeds of 100 miles per hour before the suspect ditched his car and tried to run across the South Freeway, deputies reported Thursday morning. The chase started on Stonegate Drive in northwest Harris County around 9:40 a.m. Deputies said they responded to a weapons disturbance call at an apartment complex.
