HOUSTON—A 19-year-old driver died early Friday morning after police said he wrecked his truck at speeds around 90 miles per hour in the Clear Lake area.
The accident happened on Clear Lake City Boulevard near Whitlock at 2:30 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department.
Police arrived at the scene to find a driver and passenger critically injured. The driver was pronounced dead while the passenger was sent to the hospital with a broken leg.
Investigators determined the teen was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when he struck a curb and went into a group of trees.
An investigation is ongoing.
