HOUSTON – A pedestrian died late Tuesday night after being struck by a minivan in far north Houston.
The accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Aldine Westfield Road at Aldine Mail Route Road.
Officers with the Houston Police Department said a minivan struck a man walking on the shoulder of the roadway.
The driver stopped and talked to police, who said they did not believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.
The stretch of Aldine Westfield where the accident occurred is dark due to the lack of street lights.
