HOUSTON—TV chef and cookbook author Paula Deen showed up in Houston Saturday for the Metro Cooking show at Reliant Center.
"It’s that electric. I just love all those Texas girls," said Deen.
Deen did a cooking demonstration with no shortage of butter, and some fans paid $400 or more to get up close and personal with her.
The celebrity chef opened up about her Type 2 diabetes diagnosis and what it took to drop more than 30 pounds.
"Moderation ya’ll! We really can’t eat fried chicken every meal and not eventually pay for it," she said.
