HOUSTON – Police said early Monday the driver of a late model Ford Mustang ran away after wrecking the sports car on the Southwest Freeway frontage road.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. near Bissonnet Street, according to the Houston Police Department. The convertible slammed into a utility pole, causing major damage.
By the time officers arrived, the driver was gone.
Police said the utility pole kept the vehicle from hitting several parked cars at a dealership.
