HOUSTON – Deputies were left with more questions than answers after a shooting in northwest Harris County Sunday.
Investigators said a man was shot while riding in the backseat of a car along Bammel North Houston.
A witness, who did not want to be identified, said he and his family were eating in a restaurant when the bullets started flying.
"You get scared, and you don’t know what to do but just react to protect yourself and take care of your family, because something might happen – stray bullets that might hit the restaurant or something," the witness said.
The victim was taken to the hospital in a friend’s car, but deputies said he was not cooperating with the investigation.
There was no word on a possible motive or who opened fire on the car.
