CONROE, Texas -- Conroe police have released Dashcam video of the weekend shooting of Sgt. James Keleman.
The officer responded Saturday to a report that an armed man was threatening an employee at Flowers Bakery.
Keleman can be heard on the video pleading with 54-year-old James Hill to drop the shotgun. Instead, Hill shot Keleman in the eye.
After the shooting, the officer remained amazingly calm while waiting for a helicopter to take him to the hospital.
Sgt. Keleman survived the shooting, but doctors weren't able to save his eye. He is now recovering at home.
Hill was killed when other officers returned fire.
