HOUSTON -- An adult male was airlifted to a Houston hospital Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a car on a highway.
Officials said the man was hit and seriously injured while standing outside his vehicle on northbound Highway 59 near Murphy Road around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Life Flight transported the man to Memorial Hermann Trauma Center. There’s no word on his condition.
All lanes of northbound Highway 59 were shut down down for several hours, but reopened early Tuesday evening.
