HOUSTON—A mother in Utah said she found the perfect way to discipline her stepdaughter, when she learned the girl was bullying another student.

The fourth grader was accused of making fun of another girl because of her clothes. To make her understand how that feels, the mom went to a thrift store, bought some very old fashioned clothes and made her step-daughter wear them to school.

“I thought this is a perfect moment for us to really teach her, this is right, this is wrong, which path are you going to take?” she said. “I think now that she knows what it feels like, and she doesn’t want to be that person anymore because she knows how hurtful it is.”

After wearing the clothes to school for two days her daughter said she learned her lesson and won’t bully other kids anymore.
