There's a lot going on this weekend and there will be great weather for it all.
I call it the Patio Weather because it's great for eating dinner outside and spending time outside in general. It'll be sunny and warm but not humid. Perfect weather for the MS 150 Bike Ride to Austin, although it will be chilly Saturday morning as the riders head out and they'll have a steady north wind, but not as gusty as today. Another great fundraiser happening in Houston this weekend is the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, kicking off at Stude Park. You might want to bring a sweatshirt for that early Saturday morning and then wrap it around your waist by lunchtime.
Saturday night, look in the southeast sky for a celestial treat called Saturn's Triangle. You'll see the nearly full April moon, the planet Saturn above the moon and the star Spica below the moon. Clear skies will make this easy to spot.
As for sports, the Astros conclude the series with the Padres and even on Sunday, the roof should remain open with temperatures in the low 80s with bright sunshine. So bring your shades if you're sitting on the first base side or in the outfield. Sunday night, the Dynamo are in action at Robertson with warm weather for their match against the Revolution.
The Patio Weather comes to an end Monday as clouds return, but not much in the way of much-needed rain. Enjoy the weekend!
