RICHMOND, Texas – KHOU 11 News Meteorologist attended the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo on Friday and enjoyed all the festivities celebrating opening day.

Through the years, the fair and rodeo has grown into one of the largest and most successful fairs in the State.

Residents eagerly anticipate visiting with friends and neighbors at some of the many activities during the event’s 10-day run.

Garner wore a Velcro suit to engage with the children at the fair in a popular game.

“It’s a way to work with kids as a team, as a family unit,” Garner said.

The children tossed their balls at Garner and cheered.

“I’m like a piece of Velcro, people just stick to me,” Garner said.
