HOUSTON--Linebacker Brian Cushing has a torn ACL and will be out for the season, Coach Gary Kubiak confirmed in a press conference Tuesday.
An MRI confirmed the Texans’ worst fears after Cushing left the game in obvious pain in the second quarter. He will have surgery in a few weeks when the swelling goes down, according to Kubiak.
The news put a damper on the Texans’ 23-17 win over the Jets Monday night.
"(It’s a) big blow to our team," Kubiak said. "You feel bad for Brian because he works so hard and has been playing so well. He’s going to be missed."
